Lactic acid chemical peel for wrinkles, dark spots, acne scars, sun damage and hyperpigmentation.
Lactic Acid is a popular anti-aging treatment and helps remove the undesirable signs of aging such as discolouration, roughness of skin and wrinkling. Produced by the fermentation of carbohydrates, this product does not contain bovine, ovine, or caprine materials of any type. Lactic Acid is often used as a milder alternative to glycolic acid and is derived by milk. Therefore it doesn't cause the downtime, excessive peeling and burnt skin effects as glycolic acid does. Lactic acid peels are best for people who have very sensitive skin that might not be able to tolerate the slightly more intense glycolic acid peels. Although lactic acid peels are gentler, they usually provide many of the same benefits as the other peels, but in a less intense version. Lactic acid peels exfoliate your skin's surface and help improve skin cell turnover rates. The removal of skin cells can help encourage the skin's production of natural elastin and collagen. This in turn may help reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Melanin is your skin's pigment. Overproduction, often attributed to your skin's exposure to the sun, can lead to discolorations like brown spots or splotches. Lactic acid helps with skin lightening or removing skin discolorations. As your skin gets older, it can become uneven, thick and rough. A lactic acid peel can improve your skin's texture by sloughing off the top surface of the skin. This can help alleviate roughness, encouraging your skin to remain smooth and flawless. If you're treating your skin with topical ointments, serums and creams, a buildup of debris, oil and dead cells can decrease your skin's ability to absorb the topical treatment. The regular use of lactic acid may enhance your skin's absorption rates by removing the particles that may block optimum absorption, helping you get the most out of your other skin care treatments.

Note: peels may cause some mild burning and mild itchiness, higher with higher strengths. You may have to rinse peel after 1-2 minutes for the first few times. Once used to it, it can be left on for 10 minutes. Neutralize with witch hazel, water or baking soda to bring the ph to a normal level and then moisturize. The skin may be slightly pink for 48 hours depending on the strength but very little peeling. Peels can be done 1-2 times per week.
